The Unemployment Database has been established by the TUYU. The database consists of skilled and semi-skilled youth between the ages of 18 and 35. It has thousands of potential candidates which municipalities, government agencies and private sector can utilise to recruit interns and learnership candidates. This database can also be utilised for bursaries and job placement opportunities. It contains their contact details and CVs.
In addition to providing information on the available skills in key sectors
of the economy, the database will provide government and other stakeholders with a portal to recruit potential candidates for employment.
The unemployment database seeks to take forward the Presidents call to
create hundreds of thousands of jobs and to strengthen the skills and human resource base.
